Dr. Rebecca Sonu, M.D., is an anatomic and clinical pathologist and the medical laboratory director at Marshall Medical Center and Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Sonu is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Hematopathology and Transfusion Medicine. She joined EDPMG in 2016.

Dr. Josephine Aguilar-Jakthong, M.D., FCAP
Dr. Jakthong is an anatomic and clinical pathologist at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and cytopathology. She completed her residency and cytopathology fellowship at the David Geffen school of medicine (DGSOM) at UCLA where she served as chief resident in her final year. She has presented numerous abstracts and presentations at the College of American pathologists (CAP), United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) and American Society of Cytopathology (ASC) meetings. Her professional interests include fine needle aspirations, specifically in Thyroid pathology. In addition to general surgical pathology sign out, she is proficient at performing ultrasound and palpation-guided fine needle aspirations as well as on-site adequacy assessments. Dr. Jakthong joined EDPMG in 2019.

Dr. Michael Berry, M.D., FCAP
Dr. Michael Berry, M.D. is an anatomic and clinical pathologist with a main focus on autopsy pathology. Dr. Berry received his undergraduate degree in Zoology at the University of California, Davis. He completed his medical school training at the University of Minnesota in 1986 followed by a year of Internal Medicine and pathology residency at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. Dr. Berry has been one of Marshall's pathologists since 1991. Dr. Berry has also spent ten years on the autopsy and surgical pathology at UC Davis Medical Center where he has taught several pathology residents. He currently performs autopsy services for Alpine County and the El Dorado County Coroner Office. In his spare time, Dr. Berry enjoys playing one of his 50 guitars at home and around town, reading and attending concerts.
